A Real Problem by the Water
Earare started from my wife’s everyday struggle after swimming. During a trip to Phuket in 2016, water trapped in her ear often caused muffled hearing and discomfort for nearly two days. Every time she went back into the water, the problem returned. That experience inspired me to create a safer, cleaner, and easier at-home ear care solution for swimmers, travelers, and families.
Why Cotton Swabs Weren’t Enough
Back home, I tried to help my wife with cotton swabs, but they never solved the problem well. The process felt uncomfortable, uncertain, and not effective enough for recurring ear blockage after swimming. I realized that everyday ear cleaning needed a better answer — something gentler, cleaner, and more reliable for at-home earwax care.
From Personal Need to Earare
I began working with a friend from an ear care clinic to design a better solution. Together, we studied water flow, nozzle comfort, ear fit, and cleaning safety. After three rounds of design improvements, the idea became the Earare ear irrigator — a professional-inspired at-home ear washer built from a real family need.
